International Security Conference

Day 1: CNI, Transport and Aviation

With the rapid expansion of hospitals, the building of the Nightingale hospitals, the changes in volume of traffic through our airports, along our rail networks, the challenges of continuing to deliver power, oil, gas, and imports and exports throughout ports during the pandemic, the security landscape must have changed, or has it? This conference will examine where things have changed and where they haven’t, it will look at the priorities exercising the security decision-makers across a variety of areas across our CNI, Transport and Aviation arenas. One question we will ask is should biosecurity become part of our understanding of global travel and transport?

Day 2: Night-time economy, Public Sector, Major Events / Stadiums

Crowded places are the most challenging areas to protect and the new Protect Duty (Martyn’s Law) brings a mandated responsibility to those responsible for the first time. This is ground-breaking for the physical security community and will have an impact on venues, stadia, the night-time economy through nightclubs, casinos and more.

How are these facilities preparing for this legislation, what are the strengths and weaknesses when combined with other current legislative requirements and how do they exercise their responsibilities to Protect today?
