Head of NaCTSO, National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO)
Superintendent Amanda King has worked in two forces since joining policing in 1995. Amanda previously specialised in intelligence, before changing her focus to counter terrorism and protective security activity and has held a number of roles across Specialist Operations. A trained Counter Terrorism Security Advisor and CT Security Coordinator, Amanda took a pivotal role in both Operations London Bridge and Golden Orb. She became Head of the National Counter Terrorism Security Office in September 2023. Amanda is also actively involved in inclusivity, diversity and engagement initiatives within the police service, as well as being a mentor and an assessor.
