Superintendent Stephen Fosher is the Head of the National Counter Terrorism Security Office, taking up the role in June 2025.  Stephen joined policing in 1996 starting in uniformed roles before specialising in proactive and community policing. In 2004, he transitioned into protective security, becoming an Armed Close Protection supervisor within Specialist Operations leading a range of high-risk Personal Protection operations across the UK and overseas.  Most recently, Stephen worked with the Palace of Westminster to strategically develop and implement a new blended multi-disciplinary operating model of Security. Stephen is a Counter Terrorism Security Co-Ordinator
