Simon joined the Royal Air Force as a policeman in the mid 80’s.  After several overseas postings he saw operational service in a tri-service environment in Sierra Leone, Afghanistan and Iraq.  On leaving the military Simon joined the Civil Service as a departmental security manager.  Following several years working in the Middle East, Simon joined Thames Water as a security specialist, his final role was as interim Head of Asset Protection.  Simon joined Southern Water in July 2023 as Head of Protective Security.
