Michelle is Chief Executive of the Security Industry Authority, SIA, responsible for setting SIA strategy, and leading its regulatory operations. The SIA is expanding its remit to take on new duties as the Martyn’s Law regulator.
Michelle has over 25 years of experience working in regulation in both the public and private sectors, particularly in investigations and supervision. She has worked on counterterrorism, fraud, financial abuse, and safeguarding regimes, represented on cross-government and industry groups, and worked on international work programmes with the United Nations UN-CTED and FATF.
Michelle began her career as a qualified solicitor in private sector. Michelle is a Board Member of the Association of Chief Executives.
