Lisa Reilly

Co-Chair of the Inclusive Security Special Interest Group, The Security Institute

Lisa is a consultant working to promote both the physical and mental well-being of staff.

Originally an engineer, Lisa has worked in the humanitarian sector since 1996, with over 16 years’ overseas experience working in a variety of programme management roles in both Africa and Asia. Lisa’s security knowledge comes from implementing programmes in various conflict and post-conflict countries. 

Lisa has a private practice offering counselling services, she has completed her advanced training (Level 7) for becoming a TA Therapist and works with individuals and organisations to support well-being.

From 2011 to 2023 Lisa worked as the Executive Director of the Global Interagency Security Forum (GISF) overseeing the transition from the European Interagency Security Forum (EISF) in that time. In her role Lisa supported the collaboration and exchange of information and best practice between GISF members and the wider network of humanitarian security risk specialists, as well as liaising with and acting as a resource for UN agencies, academic institutions, donors, etc.

Lisa is the Co-Chair of the Inclusive Security, Security Institute SIG, Winner of the 2020 Women in Security Awards, Contribution to Industry and recognised by the IFSEC Global influencers in Security 2022 in the category of Association Figures/Academics/Thought Leaders
