For the last 20 years Chris has had a primarily operational policing career, most of which has been spent in specialist roles on firearms and operational firearms command. Following completion of an MSc in Project Management he moved into leading risk management and contingency planning at London Heathrow before moving to the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO). He is currently Head of Policy and Guidance where his units deliver on a number of initiatives to keep people safe around venues and public spaces and at hazardous sites (P&T/Rads). The Research and Product Development Unit are best known for their development of the ACT suite of products, complementing them with the new ACT in a Box and the ProtectUK Risk Management Process.
