CBRNe Convergence Canada
CBRNe World, producers of the leading CBRN event, CBRNe Convergence, will be in Ottawa/Gatineau for three days to provide a showcase for learning. Bringing military, civilian and scientific experts together it will be a chance to learn from the best and take home a practical understanding of how you can better deal with this threat, whether it be state or terrorist, better.
Canada has excelled in both civilian and military CBRN for over 100 years. As part of the quadripartite (AUSCANUKUS) it has both delivered and benefitted from the latest scientific research and military doctrine to deal with the CBRN threat. Three, outstanding, Canadian organisations have agreed to partner with us for this event, The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), The National CBRNE Response Team of the RCMP, and the Ottawa Fire Services (OFS). As well as providing speakers they will be delivering a live capability demonstration for all delegates.
We have a number of Canadian presenters including Kim Ayotte, Fire Chief, Ottawa Fire Service, Rob Wilson, RCMP CBRNE Operations, Richard Kitchener, Hazmat Team, Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service and Daniel Martin, Toronto PD, Cindi Corbett, Director, Bacterial Pathogens Division, National Microbiology Laboratory, Public Health Agency Canada (PHAC), and Susan Rowsell, Section Head, Bio Threat Defence Section, DGSTCO, Suffield Research Centre Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC), with more expected weekly. They will be joining an international line up representing the pinnacle of CBRN learning.
