Tungate Security Introduces VeriSeal: Tamper-Evident Seal for Evidence and Document Security
Technical Features of VeriSeal
- Tamper-evident design: Any attempt at removal or substitution is immediately visible.
- Signature and date box: Each seal includes a writable area for authorised personnel to record sealing details, ensuring accountability and audit control.
- Serrated-edge fragmentation — The adhesive interface uses a controlled serrated pattern that causes the seal to fragment into multiple non-reconstructable pieces if peeled. Attempting to remove the seal without destroying it is effectively impossible, preventing reseal and concealment.
- Alcohol-reactive verification ink — The printable area for signatures and/or markings uses an ink formulation that is permanently degraded if treated with common solvents or alcohol-based rubs. Any attempt to clean or chemically remove written data results in visible destruction of the ink, providing a secondary tamper indicator.
- Operational efficiency: Simple application process ensures fast sealing of bags and documents in field or office environments.
Technical note: VeriSeal’s combined physical and chemical tamper indicators (fragmentation + alcohol-reactive ink) provide layered protection: physical manipulation will fragment the seal, while chemical attack on markings will visibly destroy written verification. Both outcomes are immediately observable during routine checks and forensic inspection.
VeriSeal is the product of targeted engineering to close the gap between practical field use and rigorous evidential standards. By combining fragmentation mechanics with a chemical-reactive marking system and a clear signature field, we provide forces with a simple yet scientifically defensible means to detect tampering.
Availability
