Remtech - Multi-Threat Modular Construction Solutions - Blast & Ballistic Testing
Extensive ballistic and blast testing was caried out on the Remtech ModuSec modular construction system at the independent Spadeadam site in Cumbria. A complete room with 2 doors was successfully ballistically tested to to FB4 (BR4) on all panels, joints, doors and interfaces with the panels. Also indicatively tested successfully to FB6 (BR6). The unit was then blast tested with 100Kg TNT equivalent at 25m and then (the same unit) at 15m. Note that this product is also fire rated at 60/120minutes, provides an insulation U value of 0.22W/m2K and the ModuSec GS/GSE system option is approved to NPSA forced attack standards (Contact NPSA for details). Further blast testing also successfully carried out for panels in a vertical orientation or horizontal orientation to any height.
