EIZO DuraVision DX0211-IP

EIZO DuraVision DX0211-IP
DX0211-IP 4K IP decoder

The IP decoder box from EIZO is an integrated solution that can be connected directly to a switch for the connection with IP cameras. Neither a computer nor a software program are required for operation, which makes installation significantly easier and also saves time and effort. Sources of errors and risks for sensitive data, which can result from a traditional configuration with significantly more hardware and software, are also eliminated.

The DuraVision DX0211-IP is equipped with an HDMI port and supports 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160). A second HDMI port will be supported later in the year that will enable images to be displayed with a 4K resolution on two screens. The IP decoder solution can decode and compress H.264 and MJPEG codecs – the frame rate remains unaffected even when streaming high-resolution videos. That means, for example, 16 Full-HD video feeds (1920 x 1080) can be shown simultaneously on one monitor and at a stable 20 fps (frames per second) frame rate. H.265 codec support is also planned and is expected to be available with the activation of the second HDMI port.

The DuraVision DX0211-IP can initially handle 16 IP cameras, including 4K cameras. EIZO plans to provide support for up to 64 IP camera connections by the end of 2019. The decoder also supports cameras with ONVIF profile S protocol as well as control via RTSP. Videos can be streamed live through the direct IP camera connections without a decentralised recording solution such as edge recording or cloud archiving. This creates a solution for scenarios that require live streaming without having to store the recorded images. Support for Axis VAPIX and Panasonic protocols is planned for the end of the year.

Users can easily adjust the arrangement of video streams thanks to the userfriendly Web UI and can display up to 32 streams on the connected screen. The freely definable layout also allows individual windows to be joined or split as required.

EIZO works together with leading providers of security and monitoring solutions to ensure technical compatibility and functional support for different video management systems (VMS). Event and alarm monitoring can be communicated from the VMS to the IP decoder box and triggered there by a predefined action. The DuraVision DX0211-IP then adjusts the display of the receiving screen to match (e.g., the screen layout can be adjusted automatically if the car key is used).
