Personalisation of the Desistance & Disengagement Programme
• An unpacking of the importance of understanding the histories and factors that contribute towards making certain individuals vulnerable to radicalisation • An overview of the disproportionality of ethnic minorities (particularly South Asians) in prison on terrorism and terrorism related offences, and why the communities are vulnerable • With these vulnerabilities in mind, a discussion of changes that can be made to the DDP so IPs can connect better with those undertaking the programme
