  • HVM Vs Traffic Management

    29 Aug 2023 Crowdguard

Can you define the difference between traffic management and HVM? One communicates that a route is closed, while the other protects people from potential harm. In this article, we discuss how and why the two disciplines are different, and explain why it’s important we work together to help manage costs as well as mitigating risk as the events industry prepares for Martyn’s Law.

  • A designer brand renowned for quality and style all over the world, Gucci is a retail destination for those in search of luxury goods, with stores in all the most coveted locations.

But that bricks and mortar presence involves risk. A number of high-end brands have been targeted by thieves and organised crime, with criminals using vehicles to gain access through the store front and steal valuable stock.

  • Crowdguard, the specialist in counter terrorism risk assessment and hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM), has committed to providing emergency bandage kits as part of every temporary HVM deployment following a partnership with RAPAID, the emergency bandages charity.

  • Crowdguard works with a number of football clubs and stadiums, providing our turnkey Plan, Provide, Protect service to implement appropriate and proportionate counter terrorism strategies  for a wide range of requirements, including Zone Ex protection, fan zones and non-match events.

  • Music events often involve protecting a huge crowd, along the complex event security and logistical challenges of people arriving gradually over an extended period of time, then leaving en masse at the end of the evening.
