Available in single- or double-leaf configurations, each doorset is designed around the required structural opening, project-specific blast loading and operational requirements. Manual or automated operation can be incorporated alongside heavy-duty overhead tracks, structural supports and secure locking arrangements.
Blast performance is verified through specialist dynamic engineering calculations using UFC 3-340-02 methodology. Depending on the project requirements, the doors can be engineered to meet Category I response criteria, intended for applications where continued operability, repeated blast resistance or personnel egress is important.
Each doorset incorporates reinforced steel door leaves, protective steel skins and an engineered frame and restraint system designed to safely transfer blast loads into the supporting structure.
Designed and manufactured in our UK factory, MM Engineering’s sliding blast doors are available as part of a complete design, manufacture and installation package. Notable projects include RAF Marham.
