MM Engineering’s blast-rated single doorset provides robust protection for critical infrastructure, utilities, defence facilities and other high-risk environments. Designed and manufactured at our UK factory, the doorset incorporates a reinforced steel door leaf, heavy-duty frame, engineered fixings and secure locking system.
The complete doorset was independently tested at DNV GL’s Spadeadam Test Site against the C15 threat: a 100 kg TNT-equivalent charge detonated at a 15-metre stand-off. Following the test, the door and frame displayed no visible damage, all fixings remained intact, and no internal or external fragmentation was recorded. Most importantly, the door remained fully operable.
Test data included reflected blast pressure, impulse and dynamic door deflection, providing performance evidence that can support blast engineering and project-specific assessment using UFC 3-340-02, Structures to Resist the Effects of Accidental Explosions.
The single doorset is also listed in the NPSA Catalogue of Security Equipment, giving security professionals, engineers and specifiers added confidence when selecting protective doors for demanding environments.
