RDS Temporary HVM Event Fencing and Gate System
The system has been deployed at major sporting events, political conferences including G7 and G8 summits, and state visits. It supports temporary security arrangements where organisers need to manage pedestrian access and address vehicle threats as part of the same perimeter design.
RDS combines closely spaced mesh with a substantial physical barrier from ground level to the top of the panel. Integrated gate options allow access points to be incorporated into the perimeter.
Vehicle impact testing
The RDS fence has been tested to PAS 68:2010 in the following configurations:
• 2,500 kg vehicle at 32 km/h: V/2500[N1G]/32/90:0.8/0.0
• 2,500 kg vehicle at 48 km/h: V/2500[N1G]/48/90:4.7/0.0
• 7,500 kg vehicle at 32 km/h: V/7500[N2]/32/90:7.7/0.0
These results relate to the tested configurations. System selection and deployment layout should account for the vehicle threat, approach speed, available space behind the barrier and the relevant test report.
