ModularEdge™
is a modular edge data centre architecture developed to make complex data
centre construction simpler, faster and more commercially scalable. It combines
steel-framed modular construction, prefabricated technical buildings and
containerised infrastructure into a single integrated edge data centre
facility. ModularEdge™ is designed for medium-sized regional deployments,
typically supporting 100 to 260 racks and 2MVA to 3MVA power capacity. The
architecture can include a central data hall, meet-me and welfare areas,
PowerCube™ electrical infrastructure and CoolCube™ cooling modules. By using
standardised, pre-engineered building blocks, ModularEdge™ reduces design
complexity, shortens deployment times and supports a “pay as you grow”
strategy. This makes it ideal for operators seeking regional capacity for
latency-sensitive services, telecoms networks, cloud connectivity, AI, IoT, 5G
and distributed computing applications.
