The EVO Bollard has been designed as an Electromechanically operated HVM rising bollard with an excavation depth only 100mm deeper than the height of the bollard when fully raised. It is also available as a manually operated version for locations where traffic flow is less frequent or if running power to the area is cost prohibitive. The EVO can also be supplied as a Hydraulically operated bollard but does not require the central ram prevalent in other manufacturers rising bollards and is therefore easier to maintain.

A primary benefit of Electromechanically operated bollards is their lower power consumption, with an operational saving of up to 60% compared to a standard hydraulically operated system. Additionally, the roadside cabinet can be much smaller as there is no requirement for an HPU. These two benefits combined give rise to a more sustainable HVM solution.

Heald currently offer the Crash Tested HT2-EVO and the HT3-EVO which has a slightly taller bollard (1.1m) and slightly deeper excavation (1.2m).
