Switchable offers instant window privacy, transitioning from transparent to opaque (and back again) at the touch of a button. The product can be applied as a self-adhesive window film to existing glazing.

The product consists of a layer of liquid crystals which is sandwiched between a transparent protective film. When a small electric current is applied to the liquid crystal layer, it causes the liquid crystals to align in one direction, allowing visible light to pass through and making the glass transparent.

When the electric current is switched off, the liquid crystals re-orientate in all directions, blocking the gaps for visible light to pass through and making the glass opaque (translucent).

Switchable is available in widths up to 1500mm (59.05”) For larger areas, multiple sheets can be joined together. The films can be cut to any size at the factor, custom shapes and sizes are also available. 

The film is also very easy to maintain and clean by using low pressure compressed air, and a soft bristled cleaning/dusting brush. Soft IPA wipes can also be used.
