AccessIQ is a unified off-grid security platform that combines three primary components to provide 24/7 visibility and control over remote compounds and gates.
- Cellular Gateway: The Gateway acts as the central brain of the system. It is a battery-operated LTE device that connects the on-site hardware to the cloud. It listens for signals from the padlocks and sensors and transmits their status via cellular networks (LTE-M/NB-IoT), ensuring you have global visibility even in remote areas without Wi-Fi or mains power.
- Smart Padlock: The smart padlock replaces traditional mechanical locks and provides live status updates. It reports whether it is currently locked or unlocked at all times. This visibility allows for automated reminders if a lock is left open past a certain time and creates a digital audit trail of exactly who accessed the lock and when.
- BLE Contact Sensor: The BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) sensor provides the critical missing link by detecting the physical state of the gate or door. While a padlock may be locked, the sensor confirms if the gate is actually closed. By combining these two data points, AccessIQ can identify and alert you to high-risk scenarios, such as when a gate has been physically opened while the padlock remains locked, suggesting a security breach or tampering.
