A dedicated large central area of exhibition floor space will see the Protecting Urban Spaces demonstrator. 
The feature will act as the home for scenarios for live demonstrations to be played out, giving a real understanding of the technologies that are available all of the time and in response to an incident, in as realistic an environment as can be built in an exhibition.

Global Counter Terrorism Debate Series

gctpaidThis exclusive debate series will feature a series of world renowned experts including head of authorities and senior government speakers from across the globe. 

Topics covered in the 2017 conference included: Border Security Post Brexit and free movement in the EU, Countering Radicalisation & Tackling Extremism, Cyber Warfare, UK/Europe/NATO and Trump’s America and Migration.

Keynote 2017 Conference Speakers included:

>> Dr Erroll G. Southers - A former FBI Agent, who also previously served as Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Deputy Director in the California Office of Homeland Security and President Barack Obama’s first nominee for Assistant Secretary of the Transportation Security Administration.
>> Dr Jamie Shea- The NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges. He has worked with NATO since 1980. 

Safer Cities (closed) Roundtable Briefing

Safer Cities Strictly by Invitation Only 

Co-chaired by the Metropolitan Police together with the Home Office, this roundtable ran in a closed briefing room alongside International Security Expo.The objective was to consolidate ideas and evolve methodologies to better protect our cities from those intent on causing us harm and ensuring that we are prepared to effectively respond to, and recover from, such attacks.

The expo opened with a Safer Cities Briefing that brought 14 people from government departments, politicians, police and representatives of international organisations from 8 different cities from around the world blighted by recent terrorist atrocities together for 2 hours, to examine the lessons learned and discuss cooperative ways forward and best practices. Those 14 included the Mayor of Melbourne in Australia, the Chief of Police from Berlin and the Deputy Mayor from Nice, everyone was a senior operational commander or political lead for countering terrorism.

Key topics covered  included: Protect and Prepare strategies for transport hubs and crowded spaces, as well as best practice regarding Resilience and Recovery.
