APTs: An Exploration of Serious and Organised Cybercrime

27 Sep 2023
Global Counter Terror & Serious and Organised Crime Summit
This talk will assess the key role Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) play within the world of serious and organised crime. I will detail the internal processes, management structures, and custom tooling that cybercriminal groups use to conduct malicious activities.  This will be explored via my research into the prolific cybercrime group known as Trickbot.
Overall, this talk aims to provide an overview of serious and organised cybercrime and how a deep understanding of threat groups can help build a defensive stance against them.
